Seasick Steve sta per tornare con un nuovo album, Can U Cook?, in uscita il 28 settembre per BMG.
Nono album in studio per il carismatico performer, Can u Cook? sarà disponibile su cd e su vinile trasparente in edizione sia standard che limitata, oltre che su tutte le piattaforme di streaming. Il pre-order del disco si trova sul sito ufficiale www.seasicksteve.com.  
Steve sta per partire per un nuovo tour che avrà inizio in ottobre, con un lungo elenco di date in UK previste per novembre.
 
Nel suo Can U Cook? Steve ha saputo inserire i suoi suoni migliori, e ci regala un disco fresco, solare, irresistibile, una sapiente miscela di boogie blues rock, Americana e folk music.
Scritto e prodotto dallo stesso Seasick Steve, questo nono album è stato quasi interamente registrato in una ex “ice house” al porto di Key West, in Florida. Alle registrazioni hanno partecipato lo storico batterista Dan Magnusson (a.k.a. Crazy Dan) e il chitarrista Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi All Stars), che farà anche lui parte della live band che accompagnerà Steve nel prossimo tour.
 
Dice Steve che “Just seems there’s all kinds of sunshine  and colours on this record. Maybe  it’s because we made  most of it down in Key West, Florida, or maybe it had  somethin’ to do with the happy hours  at Conch Republic? I swear!” Esaltato per un disco che non vede l’ora di pubblicare, Steve aggiunge che “Can U Cook? was made down south, way down south, as far south as you can go and still have your boots in America. I luv it and i’m hoping  y’all like it too”.
 
Steve si prepara a un tour europeo per portare dal vivo Can U Cook? e ritornerà in UK da headliner per la prima volta dal 2015, dopo il suo ultimo headline show al The SS Arena, Wembley. Info: www.seasicksteve.com/gigs
